Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 8 ounce block cream cheese softened to room temperature
  • 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  • 5 ounce package INSTANT vanilla pudding mix (larger box)
  • 3 cups milk (2% or higher)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 8 ounce tub whipped topping (COOL WHIP), thawed (divided use)
  • 11 ounce box Nilla wafers (divided use)
  • 5-7 bananas peeled and sliced (divided use)

Equipment

  • Electric mixer
  • Large bowl
  • Trifle dish or 9x13-inch baking dish
  • Plastic wrap

Method

Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese with an electric mixer until it is smooth and fluffy.
  2. Add the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla pudding mix, milk, and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
  3. Gently stir in half of the thawed whipped topping into the pudding mixture.
  4. Arrange one-third of the Nilla wafers in a single layer at the bottom of your chosen serving dish.
  5. Place a single layer of sliced bananas over the Nilla wafers.
  6. Pour one-third of the prepared pudding mixture over the bananas, ensuring they are fully covered.
  7. Repeat the wafer, banana, and pudding layers two more times until all ingredients are used.
  8. Top the final layer with the remaining whipped topping.
  9. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least one to two hours before serving to allow it to thicken and the wafers to soften.

Notes

Allow sufficient refrigeration time for the pudding to set properly and for the Nilla wafers to soften, which is crucial for the best texture.
