Ingredients

  • Cooking spray (for air fryer basket)
  • 1 lb chicken wings, split into flats and drummettes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (or neutral oil)
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)
  • Ranch dressing, for serving (optional)

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Tongs
  • Paper Towels for drying wings

Method

  1. Pat chicken wings very dry with paper towels. This is key for crispiness.
  2. In a large bowl, toss wings with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Preheat air fryer to 380°F (193°C). Spray basket lightly with cooking spray.
  4. Place wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, not touching. Cook at 380°F for 10 minutes.
  5. Flip wings with tongs. Increase temperature to 400°F (204°C) and cook for 6–8 more minutes until golden and crispy.
  6. Check internal temperature (165°F minimum). Serve immediately with chopped parsley and dipping sauce.

Notes

Use fresh or fully thawed wings. For extra crispiness, optionally add ½ tsp baking powder to the seasoning. Toss in your favorite sauces like buffalo, garlic parmesan, or lemon pepper after cooking. Always cook wings to a safe 165°F internal temperature.
