Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1/3 cup canned light coconut milk or sub other dairy-free milk
  • 3/4 cup water replace with more dairy-free milk if not using canned coconut milk
  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1-2 tsp maple syrup or sub stevia to taste
  • 1/2 - 3/4 tsp matcha powder use the lesser amount if using a high-quality, potent brand

  • small bowl or mug
  • milk frother

Method
 

HOT – SAUCEPAN
  1. Gently warm all ingredients except matcha in a saucepan, whisking until smooth. Separately, whisk matcha with hot water until smooth, then add to the saucepan and whisk to combine.
  2. Alternatively, combine all ingredients in a milk frother and use the warm setting to mix and heat.
  3. Serve immediately, stirring or shaking if spices settle.
ICED
  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend for 30-45 seconds until smooth and frothy.
  2. Serve immediately over ice, stirring or shaking if spices settle.

Notes

For hot preparation, ensure gentle warming and frequent whisking. If spices settle, stir before drinking. Adjust maple syrup or use stevia to taste. For a potent matcha, use a lesser amount. If not using canned coconut milk, use more dairy-free milk instead of water. Use preferred dairy-free milk.
