Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb carrots, washed, peeled, and chopped into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 Tbsp butter, melted (for sweet version)
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar (for sweet version)
  • 1/4 tsp salt (for sweet version)
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil (for savory version)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (for savory version)
  • 1/2 tsp paprika (for savory version)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, for garnish (savory version)
  • to taste salt and pepper (savory version)
  • optional fresh chopped parsley, for garnish

Method
 

  1. Wash and peel carrots (if desired). Chop into uniform 1-inch pieces.
  2. For sweet carrots: Toss carrots in melted butter, brown sugar, and salt until well coated.
  3. For savory carrots: Toss carrots with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes if required.
  5. Place carrots in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding.
  6. Air fry at 375°F for 15–20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.
  7. For savory version: Garnish cooked carrots with Parmesan cheese and parsley before serving.

Notes

Use baby carrots for convenience, adjusting cook time slightly. Maple syrup or honey can replace brown sugar in the sweet version. For the savory version, feel free to swap herbs or add spices like cumin or chili. Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket for best crispiness.
