Ingredients

  • 3.4 oz instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 8 oz Cool Whip, thawed (or 1 cup whipped cream)
  • 6 Granny Smith apples, chopped (reserve 1 for garnish)
  • 6 Snickers bars, chopped (reserve 1 for garnish)
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce, for drizzling (optional)

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl To mix pudding, whipped topping, and all ingredients.
  • Whisk For blending pudding and milk.
  • cutting board and knife To chop apples and candy bars.
  • Rubber spatula To fold ingredients gently without deflating.

Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and whole milk until completely smooth and creamy.
  2. Fold the Cool Whip (or whipped cream) into the pudding mixture using a rubber spatula until just combined. Do not overmix.
  3. Chop five Granny Smith apples and five Snickers bars into bite-sized pieces. If prepping early, toss apples in lemon juice or 7-Up to prevent browning.
  4. Gently fold chopped apples and Snickers into the creamy mixture, being careful not to crush them. Mix until evenly distributed.
  5. Cover and chill the Snickers apple salad for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld and pudding to set.
  6. Before serving, garnish with the remaining chopped apple and Snickers bar. Drizzle with caramel sauce if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use Granny Smith apples for tartness or try Gala or Honeycrisp for a sweeter version. Chill thoroughly before serving for best texture. Optional caramel drizzle adds a decadent touch!
