For the Matcha Cloud
  • 1 teaspoons  high-quality matcha powder
  • ½  cup cold heavy cream
  • 1-2 tablespoon granulated sugar or your preferred sweetener
  • ¼ teaspoons vanilla extract optional
For the Drink Base (Optional)
  • 1 cup milk Dairy or non-dairy options
  • ¼ cup  hot water For whisking the matcha base
  • ½ teaspoons matcha powder base drink
  • Ice cubes

Equipment

  • 1 tsp high-quality matcha powder
  • ½ cup cold heavy cream
  • 1- 2 tbsp granulated sugar or your preferred sweetener
  • ¼ tsp vanilla exract optional

Method

Preparation
  1. Prepare your matcha shot for the base: In a small bowl, whisk ½ tsp matcha powder with ¼ cup hot water until smooth and frothy. Set aside to cool slightly.
  2. Combine cold heavy cream and sweetener: In a separate medium bowl, combine the cold heavy cream, granulated sugar (or sweetener), and optional vanilla extract. Ensure the cream is very cold for best results.
  3. Whip cream until fluffy peaks form: Using an electric hand mixer or a whisk, beat the cream mixture on medium-high speed. Continue until it forms soft, fluffy, and airy peaks. Be careful not to over-whip.
  4. Assemble the drink layers: Fill your serving glass with ice cubes. Pour the cooled matcha shot over the ice. Add 1 cup of your chosen milk to the glass, stirring gently to combine the matcha and milk.
  5. Gently spoon cloud over base: Carefully spoon generous dollops of the whipped matcha cloud mixture on top of the prepared milk base. The cloud should sit majestically on the surface.

Notes

Ensure proper chilling time for the wafers to soften and the dessert to set perfectly.
