Preparation
- Sift 1.5 teaspoons (3g) of matcha powder into a tea bowl to remove any clumps.
- Pour 100 mL (3.4 oz) of 80°C (176°F) water into the tea bowl. If using boiling water, first cool it in a teacup.
- Vigorously whisk the matcha and water for 15 seconds in an "M" shape until a frothy layer forms.
- Pour 100 mL (3.4 oz) of warm or foamed milk into your mug, then gently add the whisked matcha mixture to serve.
Notes
For best results, ensure the water temperature is around 80°C (176°F) to prevent burning the matcha and preserve its delicate flavor. Whisking vigorously in an 'M' shape helps to create a smooth, frothy layer on your latte. Adjust milk quantity to your preference.
