Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 3/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 3/4 tsp sweet paprika
  • 3/4 tsp dried parsley
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 32 jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined (about 1¼ lbs)
  • lemon wedges, for serving

Equipment

  • Air Fryer Basket or oven-style
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Measuring spoons
  • Tongs For flipping and serving shrimp

Method

  1. If using frozen shrimp, thaw completely. Peel and devein if needed, then pat shrimp very dry with paper towels.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, dried parsley, and salt.
  3. Add shrimp to the bowl and toss until evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes if required by your model.
  5. Arrange shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd; cook in batches if necessary.
  6. Air fry for 5–6 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until shrimp are pink, opaque, and lightly crispy.
  7. Remove shrimp immediately and serve hot with fresh lemon wedges.

Notes

Pat shrimp completely dry before seasoning to ensure crisp edges. Jumbo shrimp work best, but cooking time can be adjusted for smaller sizes. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket.
