Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • lemon wedges, for serving

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Tongs

Method

  1. Wash the green beans thoroughly, pat completely dry, and trim the stem ends.
  2. Place green beans in a large bowl and drizzle with olive oil.
  3. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper.
  4. Toss until all green beans are evenly coated.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (190°C).
  6. Arrange green beans in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overcrowding.
  7. Air fry for 4–5 minutes.
  8. Shake the basket, then continue cooking for another 4–5 minutes until crisp-tender.
  9. Remove from the air fryer, squeeze fresh lemon juice over top, and serve immediately.

Notes

Fresh green beans are best for crisp results. Avoid frozen green beans if possible, as they release excess moisture. Avocado or grapeseed oil can replace olive oil. Finish with lemon juice or flaky salt for extra flavor.
