- Rinse asparagus spears under cold water. Pat dry with paper towels and trim the woody ends.
- Place trimmed asparagus in a large mixing bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat evenly.
- Sprinkle garlic parsley salt and Parmesan cheese (if using) over asparagus. Toss to combine.
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes if needed.
- Arrange asparagus in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding; cook in batches if needed.
- Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 7 minutes, shaking or flipping halfway through for even browning.
- Transfer to a serving dish and optionally sprinkle with extra Parmesan. Serve immediately.
Notes
For best results, use fresh, firm asparagus with tightly closed tips. Try it with balsamic glaze, lemon zest, or everything bagel seasoning. Use vegan Parmesan or nutritional yeast for a dairy-free version.
